Provides therapeutic services to children/ young people and families where there has been abuse, using a range of therapeutic interventions based on non directive play therapy, counselling and family therapy. Referrals are accepted from Social Services, Health, Education, Voluntary Organisations and Self Referrals.

Provides therapeutic and family support services to families in Camden and Islington where there are parental alcohol problems. The project aims to bridge the gap between adult and children's services by offering support to the whole family through one project. Self-referrals welcome.

Based in a community centre close to the centre of Peckham, the Harris Schools Team has established excellent working relationships with local primary and secondary schools. It provides counselling, drop-in clinics, peer support and group work, so that students within the schools have a safe confidential space

Provides listening and supportive services to children and young people of school age, including group work, drop-in services and peer support schemes. Referrals from parents/ carers and children/ young people accepted.

Offers therapeutic work to children (with particular focus on disabled children) who have suffered abuse. Also carries out specialist family assessments to understand the needs of vulnerable children. The project was opened in 1991 by poet and author Maya Angelou.

The National Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service was formerly the Young Abusers Project. NCATS provide assessment and treatment services to children and young people up to the age of 21 who display sexually harmful behaviour. Referrals are only accepted from professionals. This is a team from Fresh Start that is attached to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) in Pimlico. The team’s aim is to provide a focus in all of CEOP’s work on safeguarding children. NSPCC staff work in victim ID, offender management, the operations team and the intelligence unit. Both services work in partnership between NSPCC and an NHS Foundation Trust. The Assessment Service provides family and parenting assessments where there are court proceedings or decisions to be made about a child’s care. The Parental Mental Health Service works with colleagues in adult mental health to offer assessment and support to families and children to think about what might be helpful, help them plan for times when parents are unwell and help children and families talk about the stresses and worries of parents having mental health problems.

The children’s refuge is managed by St Christopher’s Fellowship in partnership with the NSPCC. The refuge provides emergency accommodation for children and young people under the age of 16, who would otherwise be at great risk of harm on the streets of the capital. The main aim of The Refuge is to provide a safe environment where young people can talk about the problems that forced them to leave their parental homes or care placements and assist them to secure an appropriate solution to these problems.

Provides work with young women up to 18 years of age around issues of sexual exploitation, including abuse through prostitution. Offers support to young women, including emotional support, raising awareness around risk, and practical assistance. Referrals from parents/carers and children/young people welcome.

The South London Safer Communities Project works with adult and adolescent perpetrators and their partners and carers to reduce the risk of sexual abuse to children. The project provides assessment and treatment services for local authorities, the family courts and for a range of safeguarding organisations, including sports regulatory bodies and faith groups. The project also provides training and consultancy services in the area of sexual risk to children to a wide range of organisations.

Provides a range of support services for young people living in the borough. Services include therapeutic support to children and young people who have suffered trauma or difficulties, and this is offered on an individual and group basis. The staff also work with young people who have been excluded from school. Referrals from parents/ carers and children/ young people accepted.
