Do you have information about the history of the NSPCC in the Library?

We hold historical records, publications and artefacts relating to the NSPCC, dating back to 1884, when the NSPCC was founded by Reverend Benjamin Waugh. A large part of the collection is available for research by prior arrangement with the Records Manager.

• A pocket history of the NSPCC (PDF, 2.4MB)  explains the story of the NSPCC's achievements since it was founded in 1884.
  
  
• History of ChildLine (PDF, 57KB)  explains the story of ChildLine’s achievements since it was founded in 1986.
