This DVD illustrates how a pragmatic approach to service design and partnership work can respond to the needs of families where a carer has a mental health problem.
The Parental Mental Health Service won a Health Service Journal award and a Special Commendation from the Secretary of State for Health for excellence in healthcare management in November 2004. As a result, Central and North West London Mental Health NHS Trust, in partnership with the NSPCC, are keen to share this model of good practice.
Still waiting for an answer was produced to capture and share the learning for the benefit of clinicians, commissioners and providers. A range of support is available to agencies interested in developing similar types of provision that includes clinic-based open mornings, facilitated workshops and consultation.
