Why am I not receiving email alerts?

  • Incorrect email address
Check Your Profile to ensure that you entered your email address correctly. We send a Thank You For Registering confirmation email when you first set up your profile. If you did not receive this, then please send us an email to inform@nspcc.org.uk so we know your email address is valid.

  • Filters on email software
If you have a web-based email account (eg hotmail, yahoo etc), then our emails may be mistaken for spam. Most web-based services now provide a filtering system that will allow you to list the addresses of "safe" people you are happy to receive emails from. In this case, add inform@nspcc.org.uk to your safe filter list.

If you are using your work email account, then your IT department may have set up filter software that thinks our emails are spam, or non-work related. In this case, contact your IT department to ask for these emails to be allowed through. If this is not possible, then you could set up a web-based email account.

  • Your preferences
Check that you have ticked to receive emails in your profile. If you have chosen only 1 or 2 subject terms, then you may not receive emails every week.

Why are the emails not correctly formatted? Why am I receiving blank emails?

Our emails are sent out in multi-part format. Your email software chooses how to display our emails. If the emails you receive look odd, or you are receiving a blank email, then check to see if there is an option in your email application to "enable multi-part emails". Some email providers will display the email as an attachment. In this case you may have to "enable attachments to be displayed".

If this is not possible, then the best solution may be to register with a different email address.

Please email us at inform@nspcc.org.uk if you are still having problems.
