Neglect matters: a guide for young people about neglect (PDF, 2.98MB) is a guide for 11–17 year-olds which tells young people how they can recognise neglect, who they can turn to for help and what they can do about it.

The guide was developed by young people for young people.

Winner 2010 Plain English award

If you'd like to know more about how we developed the guide download Neglect matters: the story of the guide (PDF, 52KB) .

The pilot

The guide is currently being piloted through Connexions services, short stay schools and projects run by the NSPCC and The Children's Society.

We would welcome your feedback to help us understand whether it is useful and how it could be improved - our feedback form is now online. Tell us what you think about Neglect Matters
