Whole woman

Essential information for mums

Whole woman: essential information for mums Whole woman: essential information for mums (PDF, 908KB) is a discreet, pocket-sized booklet on domestic violence designed primarily for women, although it recognises that men can also experience abuse.

It explains what constitutes domestic violence, and the damaging effects it can have on children.

The booklet encourages victims of abuse to seek help for themselves and their children, highlighting that they need not be separated from their non-abusing parent, but can live without the fear of domestic violence.

It contains contact details of organisations that provide practical help and support, with useful phone numbers on a tear-off strip that can be easily hidden away in a pocket or purse.

An important resource for services and professionals working with families who may be experiencing domestic violence.
