Catherine Burns

Business Manager

Catherine joined the University in 2003, where she worked as the Research Administrator for the Centre for Research into Education, Inclusion and Diversity (CREID).

Her primary responsibilities there were to develop administrative and management infrastructures for the Centre including managing research grant finance and financial planning in addition to developing publicity materials and event organisation.

Prior to joining the University, she worked as a Human Resources Analyst at the Royal Bank of Scotland where she built up substantial experience of project planning, with particular reference to the strategic allocation of financial and human resource.

In CLiCP, Catherine is involved in all aspects of the business related activity of the Centre including pre- and post- award administration, finance and resource planning, networking and dissemination, event organisation, desktop and web publishing. She is also currently working on one of the Centre's projects, Positive and Negative Experiences of Children in Sport
