A unique resource to help you talk to young pupils about everyday issues such as bullying and staying safe.
Growing up and keeping safe has been published by Sense Interactive Ltd in association with the NSPCC and NCB.
Teachers sometimes find it difficult to discuss more sensitive issues with children. This resource provides a practical and fun way to start talking to children about growing up and keeping safe and how to cope with life's daily challenges.
Growing up and keeping safe is a unique learning resource to teach the early building blocks of Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PSHE) and to promote pupil wellbeing at Key Stage 1 (KS1).
The CD combines cartoon characters with "vox pox" films of real primary school children discussing everyday problems. It includes lesson ideas linked to the PSHE framework and divided into the five Every child matters outcomes.
Growing Up and Keeping Safe is a resource that schools will welcome and use to deliver the PSHE education curriculum and SEAL [social and emotional aspects of learning]. It will help them to meet their responsibilities for their pupils' well-being.
