Reviewing your child protection policies and procedures

NSPCC Consultancy Services

NSPCC Consultancy Services regularly review, edit and advise on changes to the child protection policies and procedures of other organisations.

The cost of this service is:

£385 for commercial organisations (plus VAT for Consultancy)
£280 for a statutory and voluntary organisations (plus VAT for Consultancy)
£210 for a small voluntary groups (under 5FTE staff) (plus VAT for Consultancy).

This figure is based on the equivalent of half a day's work by one of our senior consultants, at our standard rate of £770 per day per consultant for commercial organisations, £560 for statutory and voluntary organisations or £420 for small voluntary groups (under 5 FTE staff).

The review would involve:

a child welfare focussed appraisal of the policy and procedures
ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance
an inclusive approach, relevant to all children
steps needed to be taken by the organisation to ensure the effectiveness of the policy and procedures
recommendations as to the changes that may need to be made and gaps that may need to be filled or re-drafting of the documents depending on the wishes of the organisation.
