All health professionals have a key role to play in preventing abuse. Written by the NSPCC, this programme provides an authoritative introduction to child protection awareness specifically for those who work with children or young people in a health setting.
The programme is accredited by the Royal College of Nursing. Its content is equally relevant to those working in a hospital or a primary care environment. It provides an authoritative introduction to child protection awareness and will help health professionals recognise the early warning signs of possible problems or abuse.
The programme is available in both paper-based and online formats. It comprises four concise models of key information. Each module has its own questionnaire to test understanding. Upon successful completion candidates are awarded a personalised NSPCC certificate. All participants will also receive individual feedback on their answers.
