Written by the NSPCC, this programme provides an authoritative introduction to keeping children safe. Designed for anyone who comes into contact with children through sporting activities, it is particularly relevant for organisations which already have a child protection policy in place.
It has been designed to help clubs safeguard the children in their care by enabling staff and volunteers to recognise and understand their role in child protection. By offering this introductory programme, organisations can ensure that staff and volunteers have the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and respond appropriately to concerns about children's safety.
The delivery is flexible and the programme is available in both paper-based and online formats. It comprises three concise modules of key information. Each module has its own questionnaire to test understanding. Upon successful completion a certificate will be awarded. All participants also receive individual feedback on their answers. The programme also acts as a useful reference guide.
