Welcome to the NSPCC Professional Development Programme 2008-2009
NSPCC Professional development courses and resources 2008-2009 (PDF, 972KB)
These courses and learning resources are designed to help employers in the statutory, voluntary and independent sectors to secure a trained and competent workforce, able to meet the safeguarding and protection needs of all children and young people.
In this brochure you will find a variety of ways of addressing the learning needs of staff - including new and updated training resources for skilled trainers to use, distance learning programmes and face to face courses, which can be commissioned for local delivery throughout the UK, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
Our programmes reflect an appreciation of the practical day-to-day realities of safeguarding work as well as an understanding of the different policy and cultural contexts in different jurisdictions. You can be confident that our training and learning resources are informed by the views and experiences of children and young people and that they integrate issues of diversity and promote equality for all.
We strive to continually improve the learning opportunities we provide and to respond to the changing context in which staff work. If you do not find what you are looking for here, or have suggestions about how we can improve our services, we would love to hear from you.
