A two-day course for practitioners
Aim
To help staff to plan and deliver timely interventions that enable children to reach their developmental potential consistent with the five outcomes for children in Every Child Matters.
Objectives
The workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to:
- review applied theories and knowledge of child development
- recognise the indicators of secure or anxious attachment styles
- identify the long-term impact of adversity on children and young people’s development
- develop strategies for effective interventions to enhance parent-child relationships
- explore a multi-professional model for effective interventions with children to build resilience and strengthen physical, emotional and cognitive capacity.
