Child protection training from the NSPCC

Giving you and your organisation the knowledge to keep children safe

Our CPD certified courses cover all aspects of safeguarding across the spectrum of child protection.

The following  courses are held on specific dates at venues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with content tailored to the national context. They are delivered to groups of up to 20 participants

Basic awareness

• Basic child protection training
• Basic child protection training (Northern Ireland)

Advanced

For those who have had basic awareness in child protection training or equivalent:

• Creating safer organisations
• Designated safeguarding children officer
• Designated safeguarding children officer (Northern Ireland)
• Designated senior person for safeguarding children in schools and colleges

 

Specialist and professional development

• Child neglect
• Child protection supervision skills
• Child protection supervision skills (Northern Ireland)
• Families with multiple needs (domestic abuse, parental mental ill-health and substance misuse)
• Training for trainers in child protection: six-day course with optional accreditation
• Training for trainers in child protection: six-day course with optional accreditation (Northern Ireland)

Courses delivered on request to organisations

NSPCC EduCare child protection awareness programmes  offer a range of modules designed to teach everybody about their role in protecting children.
