Piat (Promoting inter-agency training) is a collaborative partnership between Nottingham University, Sheffield University and the NSPCC.
Our user friendly CD comprises two tools to support the complex process of evaluating inter-agency training and understanding the core dimensions of effective inter-agency relationships.
Designed to be used by those with strategic or operational responsibility for training in relation to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
This tool provides a framework for reviewing different dimensions of inter-agency training. A segmented circle is used to review specific standards. The findings of this review are then collated and illustrated using a traffic light system. This is designed to inform an action plan addressing areas for further development.
Designed to be used within a training or practice environment and suitable for anyone responsible for evaluating the development of effective working relationships.
This tool is drawn from both research and practice experience. It explores three core dimensions of effective working relationships, each with behavioural indicators. It can be used by individuals, managers or teams in relation to qualifying or post qualifying training.
