Our training resource for professionals involved in the assessment of children in need and their families.The child's world has been designed for use with staff involved in the assessment of children in need and their families under The Children Act 1989.
The pack is relevant to those who work in a wide range of sectors, particularly member agencies of Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs).
The child's world can be used as part of a continuing programme of staff development and read alongside the social work Post-Qualifying Child Care programme.

The child's world was originally developed by the NSPCC and the University of Sheffield following the publication of the Framework for the assessment of children in need and their families (DoH, 2000).
