CORE-INFO
A series of leaflets on aspects of physical child abuse
These leaflets are based on the work of the
Welsh Child Protection Systematic Review group, which is engaged in a rolling programme of systematic reviews of published research literature on aspects of physical child abuse. This is a collaborative project between the Department of Child Health at Cardiff University and the NSPCC.
CORE-INFO leaflets make the key findings of the systematic reviews and implications for practice accessible to anyone working with children or young people.
A leaflet about how to differentiate accidental from non-accidental bruises. Bruises on children is the first in a series of information leaflets on aspects of physical child abuse.
The second in our series of leaflets on aspects of physical child abuse examines the relationship between fractures and physical abuse.
The third in our series of leaflets on aspects of physical child abuse summarises what is currently known about oral injuries and human bites in relation to child abuse.
Our CORE-INFO leaflet can help you identify scalds and burns sustained by children that may be the result of abuse.
