Learning to protect
A child protection resource pack for teacher training
This training pack is for use primarily in teacher-training institutions or on school-based teacher-training programmes. It is designed to equip tutors to run flexible programmes to ensure that newly qualified teachers are able to:
explore values, attitudes and feelings about child abuse
identify the signs and indicators of abuse
know how to respond if there are concerns that a child is being abused.
The pack contains a wide range of exercises and resource material for tutors to use according to their students' needs and the time they have available for child protection training.
