By John Carpenter, Demi Patsios, Eszter Szilassy and Simon Hackett (January 2011)Connect, share and learn is a free, downloadable toolkit for evaluating the outcomes of inter-agency training to safeguard children and young people. It will help to evaluate training courses, develop evidence-based training and promote good practice in the field.
Local safeguarding children boards (LSCBs) have a responsibility to ensure that training is delivered to a consistently high standard and that it is evaluated (Working Together to Safeguard Children, HM Government, 2010) .
Connect, share and learn is designed to enable LSCB course administrators, co-ordinators and training subgroups to accomplish these tasks in a rigorous but straightforward manner.
Materials include course-specific questionnaires, a fully interactive Excel spreadsheet and a data entry and analysis user guide.
