What is the course about?

This two-day course will help practitioners to plan and deliver timely interventions that enable children to reach their developmental potential.

It will support you in producing the evidence required for meeting  specific knowledge and skills learning outcomes for the OCR Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce and  Level 3 Diploma for The Children and Young People’s Workforce.

What will you learn? 

  • To review applied theories and knowledge of child development

  • recognise the indicators of secure or anxious attachment styles

  • identify the long-term impact of adversity on children and young people’s development

  • develop strategies for effective interventions to enhance parent-child relationships

  • explore a multi-professional model for effective interventions with children to build resilience and strengthen physical, emotional and cognitive capacity.
