This introductory course will provide the opportunity for you to gain an understanding of the nature and impact of these factors on children and their families.

This is an introductory course, but you will need to have a basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection. We offer basic awareness training: see our list of training courses.
Through face-to-face learning from experienced professionals. A range of methods will be used to help build up skills and knowledge and there will be opportunities to reflect on attitudes.
Methods include formal input, large and small group discussions, working with DVD materials.

We offer a range of courses with a focus on different forms of abuse, including neglect. Child development training will build on knowledge of the impact of abuse.
