A Challenge of a lifetime

Image of participants The Microsoft UK Challenge in aid of the NSPCC is the ultimate team-building event for businesses across the UK. Four days and nights of adrenaline filled action see teams kayaking, mountain biking, navigating by torchlight and running, but also using their brains to crack codes and complete complex tasks. With details confirmed only hours before each stage, teams compete against the clock and against each other, while the organisers constantly push them to their limits.

Set in the heart of Scotland where the lowlands meet the highlands Stirling is the setting for the Microsoft UK Challenge 2008. Competitors will experience some of the UKs most exhilarating landscapes, racing up ancient mountain passes and across legend filled lochs. However completing the course is just part of the challenge.

Before teams arrive in Scotland they will have the task of raising vital funds for the NSPCC. Last year 122 teams raised over £500,000 to help protect vulnerable children and young people who desperately need support. Lloyds TSB won the corporate trophy, raising an amazing £155,736. Eaga PLC went home with the individual team fundraising trophy, having raised more than £11,000.

As excitement about the 2008 Microsoft Challenge mounts, who will be this year's top fundraisers?

Helping the NSPCC end cruelty to children

The NSPCC's purpose is to bring about an end to cruelty to children. With 180 services, including ChildLine, the Child Protection Helpline, online advice service There4Me.com and direct work with abused children and those at risk of abuse, the NSPCC is taking action to put an end to cruelty child-by-child, day-by-day. The NSPCC is creating a society where everybody is doing all they can to prevent abuse from happening and helping children at risk. To do this the NSPCC relies on donors and supporters across the country. By working together cruelty to children will stop. Thank you for your support.
