If the birth of your child has highlighted the importance of a loving, respectful and protective family, use your celebration to help less fortunate children than your own.
Take a look at the different ways you can support us on your special day:
1. Use our donation cards
Include donation cards with your invitations and ask your guests to make a donation to the NSPCC instead of buying a christening gift. Your friends and family can return the card with a donation directly to us and we’ll thank them on your behalf. A couple of months after the celebration we’ll let you know how much has been raised altogether and send your child a special memento.
2. Raise money online
Ask your friends and family to donate online. You can set up a page on Justgiving really easily. Visit www.justgiving.com/nspcc and follow the simple instructions. Your friends and family can pledge their donation and see how much has been raised.
3. Hold a collection on the day
Have a collection on the day using our donation envelopes or boxes. Collect the money in yourself and send in to us using our donation returns form.
Special memento
As a big thank you from us, your child will receive a certificate and a special "helping hand" spoon, so that when they grow up they’ll know how they’ve helped children less fortunate than themselves.
It can make such a difference - just look at Lucy May's christening...
