This Board covers an area encompassing the City of Brighton and Hove, and includes the surrounding business and industrial areas falling under the BN postcode areas.
About the board
Apart from generous regular and one-off donations made by the general public, and some community fundraising undertaken by local volunteers, there has been no formal NSPCC volunteer presence in the area to help promote the NSPCC’s cause to the business community for some years.
The Brighton and Hove Business Board is a direct response to the absence of corporate fundraising for the NSPCC in the area. Our vision is to have a society where all children are safe, loved and can fulfil their true potential – that includes children in the Brighton and Hove area too!
The group is committed to:
- Raising funds to help protect children (by setting an ongoing annual financial target)
- Promoting the charity's 1600 Challenge to the business community
- Harnessing the power of networking to involve others
- Securing local publicity through business activity
- Recruiting committed business supporters who care about making a difference
- Involving reputable companies who will want to work in partnership with the NSPCC to enhance their own businesses
