About the board
Formed in 2010, the Chester business board is made up of key business leaders in Chester and aims to promote long term relationships between the Chester business community and the NSPCC, in order to generate regular funds to protect vulnerable children in the local area.
The board raises funds for ChildLine the UK's free, confidential, 24 hour service for children and young people through developing corporate adoptions and organising corporate events. The board also invites local businesses to undertake the 1600 Club and Network Challenge, which challenges businesses to raise £1,600 for ChildLine, and then to find another business to take up the challenge.
"The board gives businesses across the region the chance not only to get involved in fundraising, but also the opportunity to raise awareness of the work done by ChildLine. I have no doubt that the board and the wider business community will make a difference to benefit the lives of local children and families" - Peter Humphreys, Chairperson.
Joining the board
The board would be interested in hearing from businesses in the area that are interested in getting involved. For more information, please contact Rowan Gill at rowan.gill@nspcc.org.uk.
