About the board

The Shropshire Business Group was created to harness the goodwill that exists amongst the region's business community towards the NSPCC. It's aim is to develop a strong and vibrant network of business supporters to raise funds for local NSPCC projects that will directly benefit vulnerable children and young people in Shropshire.

"Since our launch in February 2009 we have hosted a number of exclusive networking events. These include a day at Ludlow Races, two Black Tie Balls, two golf days and an engagement evening at our local NSPCC centre.

I am fortunate to be supported by an extremely positive committee and we meet monthly to manage the group.

Shropshire businesses are invited to become members of the group (discretionary joining donation welcome) and then they find out about the forthcoming events first.

Members tell me that they enjoy taking part in the events whilst mixing with like-minded, positive business people and there is a real sense of pride regarding the monies subsequently raised." - Nick Jones, Chair
