PTS
Plumbing Trade Supplies, a leading distributor of plumbing, heating and sanitary ware, partnered with NSPCC and CHILDREN 1st in April 2008 and since then have raised more than £40,000.
Staff in branches across the UK have shown huge enthusiasm and commitment and have got involved in numerous different fundraising activities including regional golf days, five a side football tournaments, and a hike to the summit of Mount Snowdon.
PTS Managing Director, Alan Ball commented that: "Every member of staff, from those at our 300 plus branches and at head office in Leicestershire, has made a massive contribution to a worthy cause which makes such a difference to children in the UK. We've enjoyed all of the activities we've taken part in and this is certainly just the start of PTS' successful partnership with the NSPCC and CHILDREN 1st."
On April 26th 2009 MD Alan Ball teamed up with Mike Conlon from Twyford Bathrooms and Paul Massey from Ideal Boilers to run the Flora London Marathon and raised a staggering £18,000 for NSPCC.
Alan commented: "Completing the marathon was by far the toughest challenge I have ever had to face. The NSPCC and its ChildLine service is such a worthy and inspirational cause and this gave me the extra boost I needed when the finish line seemed a million miles away! Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to sponsor me and congratulations to Mike and Paul who also completed the marathon to add further support to our chosen charity."
The vital funds raised by PTS will help to support vulnerable children and young people at risk of cruelty in the UK.
