Superdrug

Superdrug stores across the country have been raising funds for the Child's Voice Appeal throughout 2009.

Last January Superdrug launched its It's your call initiative in aid of the NSPCC's Child's Voice Appeal. The partnership focused around three key fundraising weekends on Valentines Day, Mother's Day and Easter, during which staff at Superdrug's 950 branches across the UK got involved in a wide range of different fundraising activities.

Highlights of the fundraising included a £1 Be my Valentine vote for a team member who had shown exceptional customer service, and staff dressing up as Easter bunnies, holding egg hunts and bucket collections in stores. ChildLine pin badges were also on sale in stores, which was a great way to increase visibility of ChildLine to Superdrug's customer base and raise valuable funds at the same time.

Superdrug employees raised over £60,000 to help protect children. Superdrug in Stirling was the top fundraising store, raising a grand total of £1,497.65, which will help us answer over 370 calls to ChildLine.

Tracy Griffin, NSPCC head of corporate partnerships said: "The support of corporate partners like Superdrug is vital, especially during this difficult economic climate. We really appreciate the fundraising efforts of all Superdrugs' staff and the support of their customers in raising an impressive £60,000, and I hope we can use this as a springboard to continue to develop our partnership."
