B&Q adopted the NSPCC as one of its national charity partners in 2008 and has raised more than £130,000 to date.

Fundraising activity has included a charity football match, BIG BIKE RIDE  events, a staff talent show, auctions, payroll giving and bucket collections in their stores. In addition in 2009 B&Q created a paddling pool and donated £1 from the sale of each pool to the NSPCC.

Money raised for the NSPCC will be used to support our Treatment and Therapeutic services UK-wide.

The partnership also supports CHILDREN 1ST in Scotland and ISPCC in Ireland. This three-year corporate partnership is a national initiative with a very local focus, and has involved the local volunteer networks across the NSPCC CHILDREN 1ST and the ISPCC shaking buckets at B&Q stores four times a year.
