Barclays

Barclays Bank PLC has been a fantastic supporter of ChildLine and the NSPCC for a number of years.

In 2000, Barclays donated £2.3 million to open a ChildLine base in Birmingham, and the relationship between the two organisations has since gone from strength to strength. Barclays staff have engaged in various fundraising events, including 11 employees completing the Tri Peaks Challenge in the summer of 2011 for the NSPCC.

The staff at Barclays are some of our biggest payroll supporters, raising over £76,000 in 2010/11. The NSPCC also receives donations from Barclays customers through collection tins for unwanted foreign coins at Barclays foreign exchange counters. In 2010/11, the foreign coin collection scheme raised a fantastic £42,000 for the NSPCC.
