Orange
We were delighted when employees at Orange Service Centre sites nominated the NSPCC to be one of their chosen charities to support with volunteering and fundraising in April 2009.
Orange kicked off the partnership by donating £7,500 to local NPSCC projects and since then partnership has gone from strength to strength.
Employees have been involved in various volunteering activities such as cheering on NSPCC runners at the Great North Run and have raised over £17,000 to date which is a fantastic achievement.
The Respect and Responsibility team and members of the Communications team - including Stuart Jackson, Director of Communications - also took on the challenge to climb the 39 flights of stairs at London's infamous building, 30 St Mary Axe (also known as the Gherkin) to raise vital funds for the NSPCC's Child's Voice Appeal.
In addition, Orange has helped the NSPCC to promote its helpline service for adults - the NSPCC Helpline - by featuring the number in their 'Parents Guide to Mobile Phones' leaflet, on their website and on the Orange World portal. The impact of this is that many more people now know how to access the help they need if they are concerned about wellbeing of child.
Helen Davies, Head of Respect and Responsibility at Orange said: "We are delighted to be working with NSPCC. We have achieved so much during the first year of our partnership. Our employees have been so involved in giving something back to their communities and raising money for NSPCC through really exciting and engaging activities".
