Towergate

Towergate is the largest independent insurance intermediary with 3800 staff working at 82 locations across the UK with one million clients. Through staff fundraising activity, client donations and the Towergate Charitable Foundation, Towergate raises over £1 million a year for good causes. The Towergate Charitable Foundation matches all employee fundraising pound for pound.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone at Towergate, over £650,000 has been raised since the partnership began in 2008. This equates to 407 volunteer counsellors who have been recruited and trained as a result of this support.

The support from the staff at Towergate continues to grow, with numerous initiatives both at a national and local level. All staff have the opportunity to support ChildLine through regular dress down days, a mobile phone recycling scheme, foreign coin collections and payroll giving. Local offices also have organised fundraising schemes which range from sky-diving to fancy dress, while in 2011 over 100 members of Towergate staff ran the Royal Parks half-marathon to raise £50,000 for their charity partners. All money raised from local fundraising offices goes directly to their local ChildLine centre.
