Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge
Date of event: 23 June 2012
Time: Start times are staggered in the morning
Ticket price: £110 per person
The Rob Roy Challenge is one of Scotland's most successful fundraising events, and covers 55 miles of the spectacular Rob Roy Way. Participants walk 16 miles from Drymen, near Loch Lomond, heading north-east through the Trossachs to Callander, where they switch to bikes for a 39 mile cycle to Kenmore. This is all completed in around 8-12 hours.
On arrival at Kenmore on Saturday evening, there is a sumptuous feast and party, followed by camping on the stunning banks of Loch Tay or accommodation in local hotels. Breakfast is served on Sunday before teams depart for home.
