Manchester to Liverpool Bike Ride

Join us for the third NSPCC Manchester to Liverpool bike ride and enjoy a fantastic day of cycling along the Trans Pennine trail linking these two maritime cities.
From the heart of the new Salford Quays, this great family-friendly ride follows the Trans Pennine Cycle route as it threads its way through the Cheshire countryside and shadows the historic Manchester Ship Canal.
Enjoy refreshments, music and fun for all when you reach the finish by the banks of the Mersey.

Ticket prices are as follows:
- Adults - £16
- Children (8-16 years) - £8
- Students - £11
- Teams (six or more people) - £15 per person
Important information
Minimum entry age is eight years old. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 and wear a cycle helmet. Please note hybrid and mountain bikes are suitable; the section alongside Manchester Ship Canal is not suitable for road bikes.
Getting there
A coach service will be running to take riders from Liverpool to the Manchester start line in the morning, and will return from Manchester to Liverpool in the afternoon:
- Departure (Liverpool to Manchester): 6.30am, Otterspool Park. Note this is the only service and if you use it your start time will be 8.30am or after.
- Return (Liverpool to Manchester): Times to be confirmed.
You need to book this to guarantee a seat on the coach; further information will be included in your entry pack. The cost is £23 for you and your bike.
Refreshments
You will be able to fill water bottles and buy food and drink at refreshment stops along the route.
Where your money goes
All money raised will go towards supporting ChildLine, the 24-hour service for children and young people which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
