Shropshire HACK 2012

Date of event:  22 September 2012

Venue:  Bishops Castle, Shropshire

Time:  20-mile route - 6.45am, 12.5-mile route - 9.30am

Ticket price:  20-mile route - £20, 12.5-mile route £10

Join us for a hike through the stunning Shropshire countryside with the choice of a 12.5 mile route or, for the more adventurous, a 20 mile route. Both walks begin at Bishop's Castle.

The 12.5-mile route goes through the lovely Blakeridge Woods and goes along the Shropshire Way to the historic Bury Ditches Hill Fort, a major landmark in the Shropshire Hills.

The longer 20-mile route takes walkers along the Cefyns before heading down into the River Unk valley and the beautiful town of Clun with its castle ruins and literary heritage, before returning to Bishop's Castle via Bury Ditches Hill Fort.

Don't miss your chance to discover the timeless beauty and rich history of the magnificent Shropshire countryside.

Online registration for the Shropshire HACK is now closed

You can still register by telephone until Friday 14 September - to register please call 0844 8920 217.

Where your money goes

It's more than just a ramble. Be prepared for fun, breathtaking views and a challenging walk. All to raise funds for some of the UK's most vulnerable children.

Preparing for your HACK

The walk can get a little demanding, so it's a good idea to do plenty of training before taking part. Have a look at our training tips or check out our fundraising tips page for fun ideas to raise as much money as possible.

Be a HACK volunteer

We have lots of opportunities for you to volunteer your time on the day of the HACK to help us create the best experience for our walkers. Sign up to volunteer at the Shropshire HACK now. Please kindly note you must be 18 years and over to volunteer.
