City Fine Wine Challenge

Do you know your Malbec from your Merlot? Tease your tastebuds and learn from the experts at the NSPCC's famous annual interactive wine-tasting quiz.

Now in its 17th year, this event is the perfect way to develop your appreciation of fine wines whilst entertaining your most valued clients and colleagues.

On the night

Enjoy a champagne reception on arrival, sponsored by Friends Life, whilst you and your guests network with other attendees and our organising committee. There is also the chance to enter the business card draw and be in with a chance of winning one of several enticing prizes.

A light supper will then be served in Florence Hall alongside an excellent array of unusual wines, generously supplied by Lea & Sandeman.

Taking part in the interactive tasting quiz will thoroughly test your wine knowledge and you can learn from our quiz master, expert Chelsea vintner Patrick Sandeman.

The evening will finish with a grand auction led by the eminent Charlie Ross, with one-of-a-kind prizes on offer. Keep checking here for updates on this year's auction list!

Quiz with a difference

The City Fine Wine Challenge is a quiz with a twist: the NSPCC encourages you, in exchange for donations, to cheat your way to the Challenge trophy!

Your table will be hosted by an NSPCC volunteer who will gladly sell you clues, double-point joker cards and even answers for the right amount. Swindle your way to the top and convince your peers of your wine buffery, all with a clear conscience!

Gold tables are priced at £5,000 and include:

• Eight gold tables available (first come first serve)
• Sponsorship of one of the eight fine wines served to guests during the quiz
• Company logo to appear on projection screens on stage
• Acknowledgement and company logo in the souvenir programme
• Half-page advert in the souvenir programme
• Preferential table positioning on the night
• Company logo displayed on table

Silver tables are priced at £4,000 and include:

• Company logo displayed on table
• Acknowledgement in souvenir programme
• Book two silver tables and receive a free upgrade to gold for one table (subject to availability)
