Support us at an event
We've lots of opportunities for you to volunteer your time from helping at indoor events to cheering at outdoor ones.
You can help make our events memorable for our participants, raise the profile of the NSPCC and best of all help us raise money for our work with children.
Helping at events can involve:
- setting up stands
- manning one of our cheer points
- cheering at events
- helping provide refreshments
- taking photographs
Register your interest in volunteering by filling out our online form.
Cheer for children
Help create the best possible experience for NSPCC participants at a range of sporting events.
Take a look at our Cheer for Children squad in action at the Virgin London Marathon.
Our cheering volunteers have a great time:
"I think I enjoyed it more than the runners," Rich told us.
"I loved calling out the runners' names as they ran past…it was just a fantastic day" said Esther, another cheering volunteer
Athletes appreciate your efforts too.
Tim, a London Triathlon participant, said "I just thought I would say thank you to all the NSPCC team…the cheerers made a massive difference."
"The NSPCC cheering points…really gave you a lift and kept you going" said Rod, a London Marathon runner.
