Helping to end child cruelty is not just up to the professionals - EVERYONE can play a part to make sure that children are safe, loved and protected.
This is why, in 2006, the NSPCC launched the successful Be the Full Stop (BTFS) campaign, to mobilise each member of the general public to play an important role in helping to end child cruelty.
The original BTFS website listed 19 deeds for supporters to take, all of which had a great and positive impact in ending cruelty and improving children’s lives.
16 per cent of children suffer serious abuse by their parents at some point in their childhood. That’s roughly one in six or somewhat more than two million children in the UK.
Everyone’s action, no matter how small, can help to change things for children who need our help.

Over 23,000 registered on the BTFS site, and over 7,000 pledged to take action, a significant number who demonstrated their commitment to ending cruelty to children.
The BTFS campaign has now ended, but you can still play your part in preventing child abuse.
Make a donation now and do something direct to prevent cruelty and child abuse.
