Campaigning with the NSPCC

What does that mean?

Campaigning is how you help us change things for the better. It brings people together to take action to end cruelty to children.

We know many of you want to help but feel there isn't enough time; we make sure that the actions we ask you to take are all quick and easy. A lot of our campaigning is lobbying people like your local MP, a government minister or the prime minister. By lobbying, we mean contacting these people by letter, postcard or email.

How you can help?

We could send you an email or a pre-written postcard when we need you to take action and ask you to either send it off or reply to the email if you chose to campaign online. You don't have to take action with every campaign we send you.
Other times we might ask you to display or pass on posters and leaflets, write to your local papers or ask a friend to join up.
Together we can apply more pressure and increase the chances of getting a law changed, or an MP signing an EDM (Early Day Motion, a form of government petition).
