Gordon Brown responds

I feel like me again... I am being looked after, I'm safe and it's all down to this site. If it wasn't for all your support and the adviser on there I don't think I would ever be saying this.

(anonymous comment from a young persons online one to one information and advice site)

Last year NSPCC campaigners sent Gordon Brown over 21,000 e-cards and postcards asking him to ensure that the Government enables all children and young people to have access to help when they need it, through telephone (helpline), text and online support services.

Then in March as part of his final budget as Chancellor, Gordon Brown announced the commitment to provide funding for the ChildLine service.  We expect the extra funding will help them take many more calls from children and young people over the next three years as well as from adults who may be worried about a child's safety.
