Byblos Fashion Show

Date of event:  27 September 2008

Venue:  Byblos, Albion Street, Glasgow

Time:  3pm till 9pm

Ticket price:  £10

A Mark Conlin dressByblos nightclub hosts an urban cocktail of fashion and shopping in aid of ChildLine in Scotland. Witness live catwalk shows by emerging and established Scottish designers, vintage clothing boutiques and the alternative high street - all presenting an electrifying display of what's hot this season.

Headlining the runway are Glasgow's new kids on the block, Joy. The Joy store sprung from a desire to make innovative clothing and design accessible to everybody, in an environment which is neither pressured nor precious. Their latest line of apparel will demonstrate this through labels such as Religion, Yumi, Blend and Dephect.

If you feel the need for some retail therapy, some of the best independent niche brands will be exhibiting accessories, unique clothes, art, bags and ceramics in association with Glasgow Craft Mafia. Or visit the boudoir in the VIP area where make-up artists, therapists and stylists will be offering solutions for necessary living.

The event also features DJs and live music throughout the day, plus a celebrity presence which is sure to cause a stir. Arrive early for complimentary drinks and a goody bag to take away.

Shopping from 3pm. Entertainment from 5pm. Fashion Shows from 7pm.

Book online at www.merchantcityfestival.com or get your tickets from Joy on Queen Street. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to ChildLine in Scotland, the free 24-hr confidential helpline for children and young people.
