Assembly presentations - raising awareness and having fun

Intensively trained NSPCC schools organisers are renowned for their interesting, informative and inspirational assemblies.

"As a school we think it is vitally important that children realise and understand how important the work of charities such as yourselves is."
(Penclawdd Primary, Swansea)

"Super presentation. Enthusiastic and informative"  (St Francis School, Pewsey)

Our suite of presentations have been tailored to suit child audiences spanning Early Years, KS1, KS2 and KS3. The children and young people hear vital information for their personal safety and well-being and are made aware of who they should turn to if they are suffering cruelty or abuse.

Key components:

  • Who/what is the NSPCC?
  • Introduction to the FULL STOP Campaign
  • Introduction to the notion of children's rights
  • Definition of four types of cruelty and bullying as an abusive behaviour
  • Stories/roleplays illustrating one type of abuse
  • Approved case studies
  • Introduction of ChildLine service
  • Distribution of special smartmarks, carrying the ChildLine number, to all junior aged children
  • Delivery of personal safety messages
  • Information on who to turn to if children need help
  • Motivational presentation of the fun, curriculum-linked fundraising activity

"Provided an excellent stimulus for discussion during PSE / Circle time. Parents were impressed by the pupils motivation and proud of the amount of money raised for such a good cause"  ( St David's Primary, Newport)
