Overseas challenges

Take up the challenge of a lifetime - visit the destination of your dreams and make a difference for children and young people...

"You asked me to think of a quote that would sum up the entire experience - 'life changing’ - not much more I could add to that..." John McDowell, Great Wall Discovery participant, October 2007.

There is a huge range of challenges that you can take part in, with something to suit everyone – the choice of destination, date and activity, is yours! Whether you want to take on climbing Kilimanjaro or walking the Great Wall of China, trekking with the Maasai tribesmen in Tanzania or even cycling through Cuba, the world really is your oyster!

Join our challenge team and you too can have a ‘life changing’ experience. At the same time, the sponsorship money you raise will help protect children and young people across the country from cruelty and abuse. Every step you take really will make a difference and we will be there to support you all the way with fundraising advice, ideas and materials, training advice, regular communication and an NSPCC t-shirt to wear!

There are two ways in which you can cover the costs of your challenge:

1) Pay for all the associated costs of the trip, including travel insurance, and then raise as much as you can for the NSPCC. If you choose this option, Charity Challenge will also make a £100 donation to the NSPCC.

2) Pay a non-refundable registration fee and your travel insurance and then raise a set minimum amount of sponsorship. If you choose this option, 80 per cent of the minimum sponsorship amount must be received by the NSPCC 10 weeks before your departure. The remaining 20 per cent must be received by the NSPCC 12 weeks after your return from the trip.
