Ever since the NSPCC was founded more than 120 years ago, we have been committed to campaigning for change for children. We provide many services to children and families who need our help; we campaign for changes in the law, social policy and professional practice and we strive to change public attitudes and behaviour.
We seek to educate, influence and change individuals, organisations and society as a whole by getting everyone to feel and think differently about child abuse. Our ongoing challenge is to help everyone to understand what action they can take to prevent child abuse and be ready to act when needed.
Mary Marsh, NSPCC director and chief executive.
