What is representation?

Representation means that the NSPCC works alongside safeguarding organisations such as social services, police and other child care agencies.

Why we do this

Expert NSPCC representation means that we can keep more children safe. We do this by supporting boards and committees with impartial and independent advice and offer recommendations on best practice for child safety.

Who we work with

We currently work with local children safeguarding boards (LSCBs). Local safeguarding children boards (LSCBs) are partnerships between organisations which have a responsibility to keep children safe.

LSCBs meet regularly to share information and design services that are focused on children’s needs. In effect, their combined efforts form a safety net to more effectively protect local children and promote their wellbeing.
