Emailing the NSPCC Helpline
You can email the NSPCC Helpline on help@nspcc.org.uk. We will read and act on your email within 24 hours.
If you think a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency services on 999. Alternatively, call the NSPCC Helpline on 0808 800 5000. Please do not email us as we may not be able to respond to your email instantly.
What we need from you
If you get in touch by email, please give us as much information as you can about the child and their situation. If you have seen any warning signs, let us know. And if you have any details that can help to identify the child, such as their name or address, please share them too.
If we need any more information, we may email you back.
Email for a call back
You can also email us to ask for a call back. We will aim to give you a call within 24 hours of your email – but please provide us with a name so when we call you we know we are speaking to the person who emailed us. You can use a false name if you prefer.
Staying anonymous by email
Because we have a record of your email address when you email us, you cannot remain completely anonymous. If we need to refer your concerns to the police or children’s services, we have a duty to pass on your email address as well.
We keep a record of any email contact for 15 years.
