Images of child sexual abuse on the internet

Images of child sex abuse, NOT "Child pornography"

Use of the phrase ‘child pornography’ actually works to the advantage of child sex abusers:It indicates legitimacy and compliance on the part of the victim and therefore legality on the part of the abuser.
It conjures up images of children posing in ‘provocative’ positions, rather than suffering horrific abuse.

Every photograph captures an actual situation where a child has been abused. This is not pornography.

If you come across any disturbing or obscene material involving children on the Internet or via email , you can report it to the Internet Watch Foundation. The UK’s hotline for reporting illegal content on the Internet, including images of child abuse, criminally obscene as well as racist content.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) tackles child abuse on the internet. Parents and young people can use this site to report abuse or attempted abuse.
