Help by email

There are two ways you can email us for advice about the welfare and safety of children:

  • Mail the Helpline at help@nspcc.org.uk . We always try to reply within 24 hours.
  • If you are seriously worried about a child's safety, you can complete our online questionnaire . The questions it contains are designed to help you to think about your concerns. Your answers will give us the information we need to protect the child, so you may need to spend a little time thinking about them.

At present, our email services are in English only.

Emergencies
If you think that a child is in immediate danger, please do not use either of our email services. Instead, please phone the Helpline immediately on 0808 800 5000 or contact the police on 999.

Keeping things confidential
If you share a computer, you may not want to receive an email reply from us in case other users notice it. Please let us know in your email if you do not want us to reply. You may also want to delete your message to us from your sent and deleted items folders.
