Did you know that the NSPCC now offers a bilingual Child Protection Helpline in Welsh and English? Our qualified helpline advisors are bilingual and are here to help.
We are open Monday to Friday from 10am-6pm. If you need help or advice outside these hours, please phone anyway. Your call will be transferred to our 24-hour Child Protection Helpline in London and Salford (English language only).
If you have difficulties using the phone there are other ways you can contact us.
We have a bilingual text phone for the deaf and hard of hearing – free phone 0808 100 1033.
The NSPCC Cymru/Wales Child Protection Helpline now offers a bilingual emailing service. If you wish to contact us for advice or help, or are worried about a child or young person, send your email to helplinecymru@nspcc.org.uk.
At present, our emailing service is not a direct service, but we do try to answer every email within 24 hours.
The NSPCC Cymru/Wales Child Protection Helpline is for everyone who lives in Wales. If you are Welsh but live outside Wales, you are also welcome to use the service.
Please call if you are:
• an adult who is concerned about a child at possible risk of abuse
• a parent, carer, or relative of a child who needs advice or help
If you’re a child or young person in need of advice or help, you may wish to contact Childline. However, should you wish to contact the NSPCC Cymru/Wales Child Protection Helpline, remember that we are here to help.
Our Helpline advisers are all trained in child protection. If you’d rather talk to either a male or female adviser, we'll do our very best to arrange this.
You'll have the opportunity to give us your name, and the name and address of the child at risk. If you do give us this information, we will not tell the person or family involved. But remember, you don't have to tell us if you don't want to.
If we think that a child is at serious risk, we will contact social services and/or the police in the area where the child lives. If we think the child is in danger, we'll involve the police immediately.
Whilst you can remain anonymous, if you do provide us with your details we will not disclose your name or address to the person or family you have concerns about. However, when we share any information with other agencies, if we have your details then they will also be shared. These agencies are reminded NOT to share these details with the family.

It's very important that you act as quickly as possible if you think a child is being ill treated or is at risk of abuse. So, if you are worried about a child and don't know what to do, or if you are a concerned about yourself, let us help.
