Working Together: securing a better future for our babies, children and young people

With a general election expected this year, there is an opportunity to secure changes for children. Nearly three in ten children in the UK are living in poverty¹ - a national children’s strategy has never been more needed. We’re working to put young people at the heart of government’s policy-making so we can all work together to protect babies, children and young people.

Claire O’Meara, Director of Advocacy, UNICEF UK will explore how the rise in the cost of living is having a negative impact on family life. From parents having to work more hours to meet the financial struggles, to the reduction in the amount of time they have to read and play with their children, the cost-of-living crisis has had a significant impact on parenting.
